FlexFit hats were introduced in 1994 by a company called YUPOONG. Established in 1974, YUPOONG started out as a company focusing on textile exports. However, in 1977 they innovated the manufacturing process of the roll-up hat, moving them in the direction of headwear. In 1982, they expanded into the promotional market, partnering with leading headwear brands.

Then, in 1994, YUPOONG submitted a patent for the original stretch-fit cap: Flexfit®. Over the following decade, several leading fashion brands such as FUBU, ECKO and Hurley began to adopt this new stretch-fit technology into their headwear.

Starting with a vision of revolutionizing the headwear industry, YUPOONG and FlexFit continue to strive to design quality headwear with mindful design and refined craftsmanship. The result is an ever-expanding collection of innovative headwear that continues to turn heads all over the world.
